Ship Skis insures against complete loss of or against any physical damage that has occurred to a shipment while in transit.  Ship Skis or its logistics partners are not liable for damage or loss of protruding parts such as wheels, straps, pockets, handles, or other items attached to a travel case or bag.  If your item(s) are repairable, please file your claim accordingly.  Please note that any claims for lost or missing items will require a physical investigation.  Listed below are the general guidelines on how the claims process will work.  

1. File Claim
In order to file a claim, the Ship Skis Claims Form must be submitted to a claims representative along with photographs of the damaged merchandise. Upon receipt of these documents, the claim will be filed with carrier on your behalf. Please note that in order for a claim to be filed, the customer must retain all outer packaging (travel bag, case or box) used for shipping, which must be made available for either a physical or photo inspection by Ship
Skis or its logistics partners.  The completed claims form can also be mailed to:

2. Submit Photos
Please ensure that the following documents are submitted; (a) photo of shipping label attached to the travel bag, case or box that was used for shipping (b) photo of travel bag, hard-case or box that was used for shipping showing how the items were packed (c) a minimum of 2 photos of the damaged item(s).  We ask that you please hold onto the damaged items until the claims process has been completed.  If you prefer to schedule a physical inspection with the carrier, please inform our claims team so that we may further assist you with this process.  Should the damaged merchandise be collected, it will not be returned to your attention unless the claim has been denied. 

3. Claim Reviewed
Following the inspection, Capital Claims will evaluate the damage and determine if the merchandise can be repaired or if a replacement is needed.  If the merchandise is able to be repaired, UPS Capital Claims will require a repair invoice or estimate in order to determine a final payout amount.

4. Claim Approval
Subsequent to the review, Capital Claims will determine if your claim has been approved or denied.  The decision to approve a claim is based on the claims documentation and the damage inspection.  Therefore, please be straightforward as to the severity of the damage as once the claim has been filed it cannot be altered.  All decisions determined by UPS Capital Claims are final. 

5. Claim Paid
As soon as the claim has been approved and paid, Ship
Skis will mail a reimbursement check to the address indicated on the claims form.  Please be aware that the claims payment may differ from the original amount requested.  The final amount paid is not negotiable.  

The length of the claims process can vary and may take up to (30) thirty days to complete.  Should you have additional questions with regards to your claim or need assistance completing the Ship
